We paid 250 Euro for a 5 nights` stay (with breakfast, though not a memorable experience), but being right in the heart of Lisbon, right next to "everything" made up for it. Hotel a bit run down, staff very friendly and English-speaking. Recommended for budget travellers who`d rather see more of the world than spend some nights in luxury. more

Similar to other writers, yes the hotel is old fashioned, yes it could be updated and painted, but why? - everything is clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and its in a great little location The room was large enough contained a tv, and although our bathroom was small, it worked and there was always plenty of hot water The... more

The hotel has a prime location near Restauradores metro station and an aerobus stop. However, it is quite shabby and noisy. Our room was next to one of the fabulous old elevators, which are quite amazing and fun to ride, but make one hell of a racket when trying to sleep. The decor is dark and needs updating, the beds... more

It´s a really fair price for the services you have. The hotel is very well seated in front of "Restauradores" Square and in walking distance from "Comércio" Square(the biggest in Lisbon). It´s easy to take the sightseeing bus and the bus to the airport too. The rooms are wide and the street is silent, the cable car to the high... more

No frills; no special effects. . .they're just keepin it real. The rooms are clean; very basic. . .okay; they are dull. . .but the fun in Lisbon is outdoors and not in your hotel room. The hotel has a superb location; it near a busy shopping area and just down the hill from Baro Alto. The area is safe;... more

We landed at Lisbon to be greeted by torrential rain. The taxi driver told us it hadn't rained for a month - great! Our room was located on the second floor and was a fairly large room. Yes it was old fashioned, and yes it was a bit dated, but it was all very clean and everything worked! Yes you... more

At £36 a night and centrally located, beside the Elevador da Gloria, this hotel has to be considered, but it is difficult to enthuse about the ancient Suico Atlantico. Basic accomdation is one thing, but be prepared for the almost monastic austerity of the bedrooms and the stygian gloom of the corridors. The room was clean, but also small, shabby... more

It started with the cab ride where the drive told us the hotel has a reputation as being dodgy and shaddy. The location was excellent so we tried to forget what the driver said. Unfortunately the room was the most outdated I have ever seen. The hotel felt like a hospital in the 70's. Beds were uncomfortable, rooms were dark,... more

At 51 Euros per night for two people, this a great value, considering it's location. The rooms are clean and basic with english and german programing, clean bathrooms, typical breakfast, etc. although the orange juice is more like Tang, but this seems typical in Portugal. The beds are very hard, and double beds area really two singles push together, like... more
