I am from Indianapolis, IN and I vacationed in Jamaica Jan 18-25, 2008. I stayed at Summerset Village because it came highly recommended from several friends who have traveled to Jamaica and stayed there. The staff went above & beyond their job duties!! Great, friendly and very accommodating. I was traveling by myself & I felt at home and very... more

Staying at Summerset was brillant, could not ask for a better location. Coming here was all about seeing Jamaica and not being stuck behind metal gates or indoors. It was the perfect place to stay as it was close to main attractions such as Ricks Cafe and the beach. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and cleaned to high... more

I recently spent three weeks at Summerset Village while I was completing an independent study for school and volunteering at Negril Coral Reef Preservation Society. I've done a fair amount of traveling but have never felt so welcomed at any resort. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The location of the resort is great. It is far... more

The resort had an open airy feeling of the real Jamaica. There were no tall walls that kept the community at bay. The resort has a variety of accomodations that would meet with couples, singles or families. more

My group was comfortable and cared for with individual attention while we stayed at Summerset Village Resort. Other groups there at the same time received the same kind attention to detail and respect. We went on our trip to provide mission/service to several Jamaican organizations. They went beyond the call of duty to help us with those efforts as well.... more

If you really want to experience the culture and people of Jamaica, you can't go wrong with Summerset Village. I found the staff friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very basic, and that was just fine with me - Jamaica is a developing nation. I will return to Jamaica and I will stay at Summerset Village. Period. more

My family and I stayed at the Summerset Village for one week of January it was sooo peaceful and the morning breeze was beautiful. The villa staff was kind minus one waitress. The area is away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowd, but still close enough to go and enjoy. We met wonderful people from other countries.... more

Summerset Village is a good value for money hotel, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and eager to help if you need. The hotel is situated in a good location, close to the shops and the beautiful 7 mile beach. There is also a shuttle bus which runs daily to the beach. I’ve stayed at... more

I loved this place. I was fortunate to have one of the single-story octagon houses with a large kitchen. This house always felt the night breezes as there are windows in all directions. I loved having my coffee in the mornings on my own little veranda while watching for interesting bird life in the garden. The restaurant serves excellent local... more
